If you’ve never visited Maple Ridge or otherwise don’t know it well, you may have the wrong impression about out wonderful city. Nestled in the backyard of beautiful mountains and natural terrains, you might think Maple Ridge is just some quiet, boring village with no leisure amenities whatsoever. If you do think this way, then you couldn’t be any more wrong. Figuring out what to do in Maple Ridge is hard—not because there’s so little, but because there’s so much.
I will say, however, that it may be tough to get acclimated to Maple Ridge without someone on your side to show you all the amenities the city offers. As a result, we at Maple Ridge Real Estate would love to personally show that no matter what you’re into, you can find it here.
Service Clubs and Libraries
Sometimes finding things to do in Maple Ridge is a little more laidback. If you’re a quieter individual, I think you’ll be impressed by the selection at Maple Ridge Public Library. Otherwise, there’s no shortage of community service and volunteer groups available if you ever feel like giving back to this great community.
Take a Look at Nature Trails and Gorgeous Landscapes
Trying to decide what to do in Maple Ridge is often as simple as just going outside. No matter which neighbourhood you find yourself, it’s never more than fifteen minutes away from the nearest nature trail. After walking about a mile, you can literally go from the stress of daily city life to postcard-worthy sights and vistas. There are also historic sites and sports venues scattered throughout the area if you’d like to also do a little touring.
Enjoy the Local Arts Scene
Local area artists are at a particular advantage in Maple Ridge. By getting involved in the ACT Arts Centre, you can find some innovative new ways to express yourself creatively. In fact, many of my fellow Maple Ridge residents are quite proud of the ACT and regularly attend sponsored shows and exhibits.
Go Shopping or Dine Out
If you’re looking to do a little shopping or have a nice meal out with your family, you’ll find plenty of options available to you in Maple Ridge. We suggest 224 Street to start. Walking down the sidewalks here, you’ll find plenty of nice boutique shops and eateries to sample to your heart’s content—so while it may not be Vancouver, Maple Ridge is still diverse.
